The Best Pumpkin Patches & Family Farms in the Okanagan (2026)

Fall in the Okanagan means hayrides, corn mazes and loading the trunk with pumpkins for Halloween and Thanksgiving pie. Our editors have mapped out the best pumpkin patches and family farms from Vernon to Osoyoos, so you can plan a day trip or a full fall road trip down the valley.

Quick tips before you go:

  • Many patches are weather-dependent and some are cash-only, so bring both cash and a card.
  • Weekends are busiest. A weekday visit means smaller crowds and better photos.
  • Dates and hours change, so check each farm’s website or Facebook page before you leave.

Vernon & the North Okanagan

A Vernon institution at 3111 Davison Road. The farm is open daily through October 31, and guided U-pick pumpkin tours run Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, weather permitting. If you’d rather skip the field, there’s a big display of pumpkins to choose from. Pair it with apples and treats from the country village.

2. Historic O’Keefe Ranch – Best for History Buffs

Corn maze weekends run Saturdays and Sundays in October, 10 am to 4 pm, at 9380 Highway 97. You can also tour the historic buildings, visit the farm animals and stay for a meal at Rustlers Table.

3. SilverStar Veggies U-Pick Pumpkin Patch – Best One-Day Event

A small local favourite. Their 3rd annual U-pick pumpkin day is Sunday, October 4, from 10 am to 5 pm at 6311 SilverStar Road, with food, local produce and photo ops. It’s a one-day event, so mark your calendar.

Kelowna, West Kelowna & Lake Country

4. McMillan Farms – Best All-Around Pumpkin Patch

The Okanagan’s best-known fall farm is celebrating 22 years. The farm at 3690 Berard Road opened September 26 and stays open daily through Halloween, with about 50 pumpkin varieties this season. Expect a 3-acre corn maze, a hayride farm tour, a petting farm, a giant pumpkin slingshot and a concession stand, and tickets should be bought in advance. Check their website for current ticket prices.

5. Kelowna Fruit n Veggies – Best for Multi-Generation Farm Charm

This farm has four generations of farming behind it. The corn maze and pumpkin display at 2190 Cooper Road run September 4 to November 1, 10 am to 4 pm.

6. Don-O-Ray Farm Adventure – Best Hedge Maze

Skip the cornfield for a hedge maze at 3443 Benvoulin Road, open Friday to Monday, 10 am to 5 pm, September 2 to November 1.

7. DeMille’s Orchard – Best for Hayrides Through the Orchard

Their “Appley Ever After” U-pick pumpkin patch starts October 10 and runs Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 4 pm, for the rest of October, with tractor wagon rides through the orchard.

8. Paynter’s Fruit Market (West Kelowna) – Best for Pick-Your-Own by Weight

Families can pick their own pumpkins here, priced by weight, and browse sugar baby pumpkins and unusual gourds for fall décor.

Summerland & Okanagan Falls

9. Giants Head Produce (Summerland) – Best Hidden Gem

This spot at 7219 Giants Head Road has a seasonal pick-your-own pumpkin and gourd display. It takes cash, and e-transfer is available if you message them on Facebook.

10. Blossom Fruit Stand (Summerland) – Best Easy Highway Stop

Right on Highway 97 in Trout Creek at 5408 Highway 97, it’s open daily from 9 am to 6 pm until early November. It’s an easy stop on the drive south.

11. The Apple Bin Corn Maze (Okanagan Falls) – Best for Spooky Evenings

The maze runs Saturdays and Sundays from October 3, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, with two spooky evenings on October 24 and 30 from 6 to 8 pm. The entrance is at 9th Avenue and Maple Street. The Apple Bin self-serve produce stand at East Side Road and 6th Avenue is open 24/7.

Keremeos, Oliver & Osoyoos

12. Bear’s Fruit Stand & Peach King Orchard (Keremeos) – Best Photo Ops

These two sit across the road from each other on the Keremeos Bypass. Bear’s Fruit Stand (991 Keremeos Bypass Road) is open 7 am to 8 pm, and Peach King Orchard (990) is open 7 am to 7 pm, though both suggest calling ahead. Bear’s is known for its Halloween pumpkin-patch display, and Peach King for its huge pumpkin display. Highway 3 has about a dozen roadside produce stands, many with pumpkin displays.

Bonus stops near Oliver and Osoyoos: Covert Farms Family Estate in Oliver is a regenerative organic farm that’s worth adding to a fall itinerary for u-pick via: Secrest Organic Produce by appointment only (this October). Call: 250 689 2626 to book an appointment time.

In Osoyoos, local fruit stands are the easiest place to pick out a pumpkin.
