Before The Rush: What’s New In Naramata and a Weekend to Experience It First

If you’ve followed us over the last year, you know that spring is our favourite season to visit Naramata.

The village is quiet and calm, slowly re-awakening from winter’s sleepy months. The flowers, vineyards, and fruit trees are all in bloom, and the streets overflowing with vibrant colour and a soft kind of buzz. In fact, we’d go so far as to say April is our top choice for when to visit—much too early for the heavy crowds but still cool and refreshing with plenty to discover.

To offer you a sneak peak at what tourists and Okanagan locals alike have to look forward to in Naramata throughout 2026, we’ve touched base with a few select brands and businesses. Read on and find out what’s in store this year!

Red Rooster Winery

  1. What’s new or noteworthy at your business for the 2026 season?

We’re heading into the 2026 season with plenty of new reasons to visit Red Rooster. This year, we’re introducing a new picnic program, Live Music Thursdays, Sunday yoga, and extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays so guests can linger a little longer. We’ll also have lawn games available every day for a relaxed, playful visit, plus a lineup of comedy shows coming this summer. Whether you’re here for a tasting, a picnic, live music, or a laugh with friends, there’s something fun waiting for you at Red Rooster.

2. What are you most excited about as the Naramata Bench heads into spring and summer?

We’re most excited for the Bench to come back to life. Spring and summer in Naramata bring that perfect mix of vineyard energy, warm sunshine, patio season, and visitors ready to slow down and enjoy the view. It’s the time of year when the whole region feels vibrant, social, and full of possibility, and we love being part of that.

3. What do you love most about welcoming visitors to Naramata?

What makes Naramata so special is how personal it feels. It’s beautiful, yes, but it’s also warm, unpretentious, and full of character. We love welcoming visitors to a place where incredible wine, stunning views, and genuine hospitality all come together. Our hope is that people leave feeling relaxed, inspired, and already planning their next visit.

4. If someone is visiting Naramata for the first time this spring, what would you tell them not to miss?

Take your time and enjoy the pace of the Bench. Stop at a few wineries, soak in the lake views, and make time to sit outside with a glass of wine and simply enjoy where you are. At Red Rooster, we’d say do not miss the chance to relax on the lawn, play a few games, and settle in for the kind of easy afternoon that makes Naramata unforgettable.
