New Year, new Okanagan finds!
This winter, we are highlighting a collection of not-to-be-missed items from cozy winterwear, skincare necessities for the cold and dry weather, to artisan jewellery from local goldsmiths and creatives. What do we love most? That each piece comes from a local brand or business.
When the valley thrives, we all thrive.

Evolve Sparkling House – Evolve Brut Nature 2018
We recently included a bottle of this Brut Nature in our giveaway contest at The Balcomo, and we did so for strategic reasons: it’s delicious! Taking home Double Gold in the 2025 All Canadian Wine Championships, this bottle of bubbly is a combination of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and 10% Pinot Blanc. But most importantly, it’s 100% Editors’ Picks OKANAGAN approved.

Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm – Face Serum: Sensitive Skin
Drier weather means even drier skin! Combat these colder months with this lightweight, plant-based serum for sensitive skin. It will tone, restore, and rejuvenate your face while reducing redness and without clogging your pores. You can thank us later!

Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery – Barlette Pear Brandy
Every since we had their Hot Toddie as part of the Okanagan Hot Chocolate Festival, our team has been dreaming of this Pear Brandy! It took two dozen pears to create just one bottle, making it limited, refined, and just what the editors ordered… Are we surprised it won Gold at the 2025 World Spirits Awards? No, not at all.

Okanagan Lifestyle – OKNG Knit
While there might not be much snow, the temperatures are still chilly—so make the most of these late-winter days with Okanagan Lifestyle’s cozy knit sweater! Hand embroidered locally in Kelowna, it’s made for moments that linger whether on the beach or cozied up on the couch at home.

Carolily – Agatha Black Onyx Stretch Bracelet
Made by a mother and daughter team, these handcrafted jewellery pieces bring elegance and joy straight from the Okanagan. With easy wear stretch design, beautiful black onyx, and a few gold touch accents, this is an easy piece to style with any outfit!

Nicholas Alexander – Home Decor
If there’s one thing we love more than freshening up our home decor, it’s shopping local. Thankfully Nicholas Alexander Co. has everything from ceramic mugs, neutral and soft throw pillows, faux greenery (and a whole lotta real greenery!), kaftans and robes, and just about everything you need to give your space a makeover.

Neighbourhood Brewing – Happy Place Juicy Pale Ale
Did you know that Neighbourhood has two locations? The iconic downtown Penticton shop as well as another at the District Wine Village. So that’s two places you can pick up their Happy Place juicy pale ale and enjoy tropical fruit flavours from start to finish.

Chronos Winery – Chronos Ouroboros 2020
Winter weather just goes hand-in-hand with dark, lush red wines… This season, make sure you open up the Ouroboros. At 56% Merlot and 44% Syrah sourced from just north of Summerland, later co-fermented in French oak barrels, the result is a truly distinctive, full-bodied wine meant to savour over a long night.

Scenic Route Jewellery – Silver Growth Sleepers
When it comes to custom, one-of-a-kind jewellery, we are obsessed with these Silver Growth Sleepers! With each ring symbolizing a year of growth on a tree, these earrings are a visual reminder of another trip around the sun celebrating Okanagan entrepreneurship. Set in sterling silver, they’re the perfect accessory to any outing this winter.

Thinkin’ of buying one of these for winter picks? Post a photo and tag us for a chance to be reshared! We love supporting local businesses as much as we love highlighting locals discovering the best of the Okanagan.
And did we miss someone worth mentioning?! Let us know!
