So here are our picks for vegan restaurants across the Okanagan!

VERNON: The Roxy Cafe
When looking for the perfect mix of vegan and vegetarian options in Vernon, look no further than The Roxy Cafe. With a dedication to ethical and sustainable practices, you can trust that they source the finest organic ingredients to minimize food waste while also nourishing your body with plant-based products. It’s the kind of joint you walk into and immediately feel at ease, knowing you’re choosing a lower-impact eatery for your health and the planet’s.
They even have a selection of delicious homebaked goodies and crunchy sourdough breads. You can order a pick-me-up cup of coffee with a Roxy Scramble, or stop in for a lunchtime Badass Vegan Sammy and Kombucha.

LAKE COUNTRY: Salty Caramel Kitchen
Originally a home-based business that only offered vegan cakes, the Salty Caramel Kitchen has since expanded to a little shop in the heart of the Okanagan with specialty coffees and a fully plant-based menu! It only took two years to get there—so you know the food is gooooood.
Currently serving food from 10am to 2:45pm, we highly suggest you try out the Chickpea Curry Wrap along with their signature Salty Caramel Latte! And believe us, you’ll definitely be taking some tasty baked goodies home with you… or just for the car ride home!
Not able to stop by their cafe? Don’t worry, you can find some of their products at other Okanagan cafes and stores! Visit their website for more information.

KELOWNA: Frankie, We Salute You!
When you live in a growing region as exceptional as ours, it’s a no-brainer to build a restaurant and menu all around local plant-based ingredients. Which is exactly what they did at Frankie, We Salute You! The goal: make plant-based eating tasty and inspiring for meat eaters and veggie lovers alike! The result: a menu based on local growers and farmers, with an emphasis on regional wines, craft beers, and ciders.
Their Skakshouka Benny Bowl is on our list of must-haves, along with the Mediterranean Artichoke Sandwich and Cauliflower Mac N’ Cheese. They even have a thoughtful menu for Little Eaters!

KELOWNA: Naked Cafe
For the last ten years, Naked Cafe has provided Kelowna with tasty, craveable plant-based treats! With a full bar service, healthy and comfort food options, and monthly events like their Brunch Buffets, this is the spot to grab something planet-friendly off the menu in downtown Kelowna. It’s also established by three sisters, meaning women lead and run! What’s not to love?
When it comes to the menu, we’re quite partial to their brunch Hash Patties with Spicy Mayo, whereas for a later meal we can’t recommend the Pumpkin Seed Pesto Pasta or the Seitan’s Parm Sandwich! And for a little ol’ classic with a vegan twist, you have to try their cashew-based Ice Cream Float!!

PENTICTON: Stillfood Bistro & Cappuccino Bar
Originating in downtown Salmon Arm, Stillfood Bistro opened up a second location on Penticton’s historic Front Street after earning itself a reputation as redefining plant-based dining in British Columbia. Its Okanagan location boasts a spacious patio and welcoming 50-seat restaurant perfect for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a warm morning coffee, relaxed lunch, intimate dinner, or anything in between!
Their menu includes over 200 freshly baked goodies each day plus a lineup of truly mouth-watering unique plant-based meals! We’ve got our eyes on their list of delicious cocktails and plates like the Smash Burger or brunch classic, Chick’n & Waffles.

Still not convinced? Well then, the only option now is to stop by one of the following restaurants and give them a try! After all, you’re still supporting local, Okanagan brands, which is what Editors’ Picks is all about.
